Hello!

Greetings!

I recently purchased a 2011 Montanna 3750FL, so far we love it! The only real complaint so far is the front living room seems hard to keep cool. We had the 2nd AC unit installed in the bedroom, so the kitchen back to the bedroom is no problem to keep cool. Does anyone else have this problem? Any tips to help with this? We were thinking of getting a high quality fan or 2 on each side of the room to help circulate the air up there.

Thanks,
Matt Stoehr

Hi Matt,
We have a 2013 3750FL and generally dont have any issues unless we are at a site that has no shade. To combat that, we open the ducting up in the kitchen and set both zones at around 65. The front living area seems to cool better this way but yours may be a little different. We generally keep a small fan with us when we camp and to speed things up, we set it on the kitchen counter to help the air move into the living area.

Good luck with your 3750, we love ours.

Welcome to the forum. There have been some issues with the new whisper air systems, recently being installed, not so much with the traditional noisy ones. Our first Montana was a front living room and We did not have any cooling issues. You might check for blocked ducting, dirty vent filters, and the possibility the AC in front is not operating properly, i.e. loss of coolant or compressor failing. Certainly a fan to enhance air circulation would help.

Welcome to the forum. I change my filters on my ACs once a month and by then they really need it. You can also close the dump on the one that feeds the livingroom and force all the air from that one into the ducts upstairs. Some have also changed out the vent covers on the ducts to ones that let more air flow out.

Check in the archive here on the Forum and see if you can find a post by OZZ. He added some new vents but he does not have a front livingroom. He also took the vents out and cut the tubing that goes into the duct in about half and reinstalled them. The vents stick up into the ducting to far and they impede the airflow coming out of the vents and also the airflow going down through the ducting. I've purchased some vents that the louvers actually open and closer. I'm installing them sometime this week to see if that helps also. They are not as deep and do not stick up into the ducting as far.
