Delivery Time

We have been working on a deal to order a 2005 3400 RL with our local dealer here in NH. Yesterday he told me that to expect delivery in 14 to 16 weeks. Is this the time schedule that other new purchasers who are ordering are being quoted? Just curious.

Thanks

Maybe your dealer just wants you to be happy when it comes in earlier. But it is spring and this is a very popular unit.

Welcome PittsNhRv,
The 3400rl is a popular unit and a nice one to boot. It may take a little longer because of the season and orders but I would be willing to beat your unit will be in long before 14-14 wks.
Take your time when it come in and do use the Pre inspection list.

Sounds excessive to me, too. Ours took six weeks but that was in July, 2002.

One thing you might want to know is to check with your dealer periodically. 1) he should soon be able to get a production date from Keystone. 2) He should, on your behalf, confirm your ordered options are all on the build list exactly as ordered. 3) He can confirm it actually was built on the scheduled date and is ready for pickup.

I'm not sure how your dealer works delivery to his store from the factory but he may have some issues there. Or maybe he gets a reduced cost by taking a lower priority. Our dealer employed his own delivery people so were quick to do the pickup.

Just a few thoughts. Good luck, hope it comes in more quickly than they're telling you. Hope you have many years of enjoyment with the new Montana. The 3400RL is a beauty, one of our favorites.

I was told the 3400RL is the number 1 selling floorplan again this year and because of that Keystone is back logged on production line by two weeks. It took right at 7 weeks for them to build, ship, and have in my hands back in 2004. With this being said, I would think you should expect to see your coach in 7-10 weeks max. Another idea would be to call Keystone and get an approx. build time for your coach. I hope you enjoy your 3400RL as much as I have mine.

Our 2980 was ordered at the Pomona CA RV show on 22 Oct, we took delivery on 11 Dec 04. What was interesting was that the dealer said Keystone would get it off the production line on 24 Nov, but it didn't actually ship till 5 days later (due to Thanksgiving, etc.). It was a hard wait because the weather was lousy between Indiana and California.

We ordered our 3685FL 2005 they told us 10-12 weeks if we were lucky. Was told factory orders were high and everything was backed up. Well less than 6 weeks later got call from dealer was told to get my financing ready and come pick up our coach it was ready for delivery which we were glad. So who knows how long it will take, i know you are ready for it now but it want take as long as they said. My best guess less than 8 weeks.
