day night shades

HELP PLEASE,my Montana 2007, 3400 is in the shop for repair. I am in need of a day night shade asap, so I can have the shop put it up.I know they can be restrung,I do not want to mess with it now. I need a measurement of the kitchen table window shade and where to get one asap. Mine is brown for night and beige for day.I would like to have one sent directly to shop which is 50 miles from where I live. They will have my unit till about Sept,1. I would be OK if someone new the right size of MCD blind and order number for sure as another choice . I just need to make sure it fits with valance that is there. Leaving on a trip gotta get this done. Thanks

I could be wrong (again) but I believe you could re-string the one you have long before you could order/install a new one. I have done small ones and only took a couple of hours and very little money.

Agree with the above comment by david since I recently re-strung one of mine via directions on the forum. So easy... Time to get new shade in right colors would be weeks, not days. Take the trip without fixing, do it on the trip or do it afterwards...not a major issue to worry about. John

Here's a post with pictures of repairing a shade.

Oh, and BTW, on the back of my kitchen table shade are the numbers 50 x 37, which is the measurements that they put on the shade at the factory. I know my shade is 50" wide.

These are the folks who make the shades in the Monty and they tell you how to measure them.

We just took ours down. My wife made drapes for all the windows. Remember if one fails the others are on their way!
