House Battery

I just replaced my house battery on my 2012 3800RE and there is an extra wire on the positive terminal with an inline 7.5 fuse. I can’t figure out what is was connected to. Any ideas?

Don't have an extra line on my positive terminal. Sounds like someone, factory or dealer service added one on you for some option. Remove fuse and see what fails to work. Did you have extra lights installed in front storage? John

Thank you for your input. Right now the other end isn't connected to anything. I can't find a plug within reach of that line that I could even connect to. Everything appears to be working.

Is this a preowned unit? If so, the prior owner could have had any kind of accessory connected there. If this is a brand new unit then I'd ask your dealer why it's there. In either case I am pretty sure there's no issue and maybe you could use it for some after market accessory of your own.

Just make sure the other end is insulated so that the wire does not short out the battery or you can remove it altogether.

For example, I have an extra fused wire to connect a macerator on occasion. Just make sure you use the correct fuse rating and wire for that accessory.
