What do you think?
I saw in a used car lot today, a 2013 Ford F450 6.7l, extended bed, 4X4. Loaded!
It has 9400 miles, yes, not a typo, 9400 miles.
Excellent shape. Has a Reese 5th wheel hitch mounted.
Asking $49,900.

Sounds to good to be true. Can you get a CarFax on it?

Not a bad price. That shouldn't stay on the lot long.

Low, low mileage vehicles like that are virtually impossible to find, perhaps your lucky day?

It actually isn't priced all that terribly low since it's two years old now. There may be some other reason why, but if you're looking for a newer truck, I'd still try getting down to $45k or lower yet.

I would do a Ford Oasis report to see if there has been any mechanical problems. Carfax is good, but the Oasis will tell you things that Carfax doesn't. What trim level? Platinum, King Ranch, Lariat? Depending on trim level you might have came across a good deal.

Believe it or not leemedic, that is not a really low price for that truck. I am not saying it isn't a good price, I am just saying it is not any type of a huge steal. I have been keeping an eye out for the possibility of snagging a F450 between the 2012 and 2013 model years. Getting tired of worrying about my tow weights all the time. If you currently do a search in Florida you will see several, some even with low miles, in the $47,000 to $50,000+ range.
The one you are talking about would certainly be worth a look if it is a Lariat and 4x4.

It is a 4X4 Lariat. We we not going to purchase it, plan on staying with our F350. I just thought it sounded like a good deal since it only had 9400 miles.

Sounds like a nice truck, but $49K for a '13 is a bit much. But, you won't get it you don't ask.

Just on a related note Darnell, how does Florida handle the registration of 1-ton truck compared to a half ton? Or is there even a difference? And how about if you go from a F350 to a F450, does it have to be registered different in Florida? Just curious since we will probably be changing over all of our registrations soon.
