At the Pomona RV show this year, one of the vendors had a comparison "1 shake" per single sheet of TP test on display. According to his test the COSTCO kirkland TP was the best. It sure looked good in his test.

The only way Kirkland would work for us is if we go to Costco with a member who can get it for us. As fulltimers we do not have the storage capacity for the volume sizes of products you normally get at Costco. So, a membership just doesn't pay off for us. When we someday settle down again, that's a different story. Otherwise, Kirkland is a good choice.

We use Quilted Northern Two Ply which is probably a robust but also very "comfortable" TP (use their 3 ply at home). ALWAYS run the Black Tank Sprayer for at least 1-2 minutes when seting up before I even hookup the potable water and advise DW to flush with every use for the first day or two and when we put the "Geo Method" Detergent, Softener and RV Black Tank treatment down the toilet on the first day. Same applies to every dump when camped for a while. No problems so far. Also use the Ice Cube method on the last seasonal trip home before winterizing and do an "extra" dump on the way home. Love our home state AL for having Dump Stations at most Interstate Rest Areas. Also use a clear extension on the Sewer pipe so I can watch the show. Takes 2 or more flush and fill with spayer dumps to cease seeing TP flecks usually.

Chas, have you done the shake test with your Quilted Northern? We used QN for several years and it passed the shake test. However, awhile back we got the dreaded pyramid in the black tank. Serious blockage. The shake test showed QN no longer passed. Didn't break up at all. Maybe they changed that again so now it breaks up but just wanted to mention it to you.
