Drought? What Drought!

As I am sitting here in Port Townsend grilling in the rain all I can say is what drought!!!! It has been a fair weekend as far the the weather could be high of 60 and cloudy. It has been cool most of the summer. I feel sorry for the folks that are running 90+ for a month as we have been running about 65 and partially cloudy so far. I hope a little warmer weather is coming our way as we could use it. If we do not get it we we have to wait to next year. But we usually have a few hot days later in August and September so there is hope.

We'd sure trade you. .75 inches of rain since the end of April (usually about 11 inches), 15 days over 100 (all the rest in the 90's) and the forecast for the next two weeks is all above 100 except Thursday when it's supposed to be upper 90's with a 30% chance of rain. The ranchers are shipping the cattle out, their cutting the corn for silage and the beans are toast.

Yeah same here in Pa. They keep saying about some drought going on but its rained and rained heavily several days that we have been here. Keep telling these folks you need to come to Texas and we'll show you what a drought is all about. Course this summer it has been great and we have been getting rain in Central Texas.
