camper rock with auto level

I have the 6 point hydraulic level system on my Montana anyone every find a stabilizer like the JT strong arms for this setup? Those worked great on my old fifth wheel, I still get quite a pit of rocking in this unit, especially if the jacks are extended close to there limit( like they are right now as I am typing those)

You might find using thick wood blocks under the leveling system feet will shorten the exposed jack rams which will minimize the movement you are experiencing. I don't believe there is anything like the JT arms for these.

There are little eyelets you can buy to install the JT's on the Level Up system. They either weld or bolt to the round feet. A guy wanted me to put the JT's on his SOB with Level Up. I called Lippert Tech Line to inquire about the install. The tech I talked with discouraged installing the JT's because he said it keeps the cylinder rods from turning when used. I thought this was total BS as we have dozens and dozens and dozens of cylinders at work that are mounted in such a way that the rod cannot turn with no seal issue. Anyways ... we put them on a bit over a year ago with no problems to date. It cured most of his movement just like it does on my 3150 without Level Up. I will say I put the cross framed electric BAL stabilizers across the back on another fiver with Level UP and I feel it did as much to remove the wiggle as the JT's on the guys that I talked about above. Bolt the BAL stabilizer assy to the frame, run a wire from the battery compartment back, install the supplied switch compartment in the lower skirt behind the tires ... pretty easy install. Bottom line on both fivers ... they have pretty solid units now and don't have an issue with how far the Level Up legs are or aren't extended. Here's the rear stabilizers I'm talking about ... just an example ... can be found cheaper on the web. https://store.lci1.com/ultra-lite-el...ite-switch-box

Many of us do use thicker wood blocks.

Is it ok to use the orange leveling blocks under the feet?

For the folks that upgrade to levelup system it is a good idea to keep your real stabilizers in place. If you look at the rear set of rams they are located right behind the rear wheels which leaves 10+ feet behind the last jacks. This long expanse of rig tends to whip when walking from side to side. The OEM stabilizer will stop most of this whip..

We have found that the shorter the front landing gear, the more stable the unit. I only block the front and it has helped greatly.

On our 3400 we left them on and they helped take the wiggle out. On our new unit they are further back and it makes the rear more stable.

Thanks Exnavydiver and Mudchief for supporting my experience with installing the electric rear stabilizers. It's sad you have to argue with the salesman to even get the rear stabilizers ordered if the unit is coming with Level Up. All they can say is "It's going to be rock solid with the Level Up alone". At RV shows with 3-4 people in a fiver with Level Up ... salesmen disengage conversation quickly when you mention it sure does wiggle a lot. I even had one salesman say " well the cylinders aren't all the way down". Really????

While wood blocks are stronger and more durable, you can use the Lynx leveling blocks since they are stronger than they look. I imagine other brands of these types of levelers would work.

However, if you still have the documentation, you might find that they (and possibly the other brands) start losing strength and stability if they are stacked more than 3 high. I no longer have the slip of paper warning against this since it's easy enough to remember, but I wish I still had that paper. I can't tell you how many times I've seen others stack these 5 to 8 high and then they wonder why they aren't as stable as they expect and call these junk.

I use 4x4 wood blocks under my landing gear legs, to lessen the amount of travel, and I use Lynx levelers under the tires for leveling side to side, and if I feel like shortening the travel I'll stack 3 Lynx levelers under each stabilizer.

Which is what I did. I kept my OEM stabilizers.

Here is the solution a Montana owner camped near us uses.

However it isn't for stability. As he explained to me:
"this rig and my previous one had hydraulics and they all drop a couple of thousands. This causes pops and shudders."
I asked if had heard of the LIP Sheet 0295 which address this behavior. Not clue! Also not a MOC member.

I have some 4x6 blocks I use when needed and I have noticed when extended further there is more movement. My old rig with regular jacks and the JT strong arms was more solid. I guess I just expected the same or better stability with the level up system. May e next year ill install a set of rear stabilizer jacks. Only have 2 weekend trips left this year
