Duo Therm Comfort Control Center II thermostat

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! So on to my question. We have the original 5 button Duo-Therm comfort control thermostat in the Monty. I was wondering if I could replace it with the newer Duo-Therm comfort Control II thermostat and would there be any advantages. I didn't know if the new thermostat would be any more accurate which could possibly eliminate frequent cycling of the furnace. Right now the furnace kicks on after being off for only a couple of minutes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Tim

Can't answer about swapping TStats ... pack some insulation in the hole behind the current one and see if that helps the cycle time. This mod helped both my heating and cooling shortcomings in my 3150RL.

I asked the Dometic rep at the Fall Rally and he told me that it requires a new logic board in the rear A/C unit.

On our 2008 model I did the same as Dieselguy and it helped greatly.

I'm wondering if I need to look into my new 2016 for the same issue? I just had the pressboard in the cargo area off a few weeks back, when I was installing my surge protector, I didn't notice any of the gaps, but then again, I was concentrating on my project and didn't look for anything else. I did notice the wires could be cleaned up, so maybe I should look back in there and do a clean up job and peak. Id like to install a whole coach water filter too, I don't like leaving it outside the camper. I have the system from my old rig, but need to pip it in...for those looking for water taste, this does an excellent job, I can drink the tap water, and no plastic taste at all.. just change the element each season. Pretty sure I just get them at home depot too...a lot cheaper then the RV shops, and work just as good.
