Carpet

Just bought a 2008 2980RL and would like to remove the carpet and replace it with laminate or vinyl plank. Has anyone done this?? What are the pitfalls to watch for??

we replaced the living carpet area with pergo this past Dec. and the jury is still out on that upgrade. A couple things to remember is if you have a drop down slide it is going to ride hard on this flooring when it jumps up to ride on top of main flooring. I am using 3 strips of teflon to lay on the main floor to let the slide ride on. On the newer models they lay a 6" wide stip of carpet in front of the slide to help with this problem. I might have to try this option to see if the strip of carpet helps. We also vacume the living area every time we run the slides in as 1 little rock or anything hard will scratch the flooring.

We put in industrial strength floor tiles glued to the floor. It's been about a year and so far no problems.
