We have an 07 Mega Cab with a Pull rite Super Glide slider and have never even come close to hitting even with more than 90 degree turns.

Just make sure you get the long king pin on the Monty.

I was just looking at one today. It was factory built with mounting points for 5er. Surely it would have to be a slider. Maybe someone hear has a clear answer. I'm sure the dealers do not.

We have a slider, but have never used it. This includes the time I backed the Monty in a U around a mobile home with very little side to side clearance so I had the cab almost clear around. It was very close, but Joyce watched while I slowly backed and we made it without using the slider. I wouldn't dump the slider, however, because the angle of the trailer in relation to the truck could change drastically depending on the ground your backing or pulling over and so just because I haven't used it yet doesn't mean I won't need it sometime.

Check with Pull Rite and get the superglide that fits your truck. I have had mine in the 2006 Megacab since new. Easy to install and works very well.

I have a slider on my megacab, and I've never used it for my monty. It has more then sufficient clearance to go to almost 90 degrees with the morryde pin box on it. I have used the slider when I moved someone else's older mobile suites as it didn't have the rounded corners or an extended type pinbox.

I have the signature truck, and while I have a Reese slider, it is rarely needed. I only use it for my own peace of mind when I think it is too tight for my comfort. Have always thought about getting the superglide, and if you are buying a truck, and having to buy a hitch for it, go ahead and invest in the superglide as peace of mind.
With the 2006 and newer front caps, it is not always needed. But it sure looks like the front of the cap gets real close!

Maybe one should get in touch with sreigle (Steve Reigle). He just retired from Fulltiming and is selling his gear (the megacab truck was sold, but the trailer is still noted in the forum as for sale). By fulltiming he'd probably have lots to say about the Megacab. He is typically very helpful and honest about things and should help a lot. Try using member search to find him, then send him a PM or email. I hope he doesn't mind me trying to keep him involved but he's always been helpful.

I have a Superglide sliding hitch and absolutely need it. I have a short bed chevy and older Monty that does not have rounded front cap. Even with the auto slider the front of trailer and back window/cab come close. I have seen several trucks damaged due not having a slider. Many on this forum will say they have never needed a slider. They have newer trailer than I. You did not state what trailer you have.

That's an excellant point and one several members have paid the price for and those back windows are way more expensive than you think. We have the newer model Monty and so that's why we have never needed the slider.
