Attention KC MOCers(update)
Betsy and I will be in town this weekend for several days, maybe a week, we need to do a lunch run to Ameristar. Jimcol has already bowed out cause he would rather go walleye fishing in SD tham go to lunch with us. Sooo that leaves Mudchief, and the Ozz and any other MOC members who would like to join us. You are all welcome, we hope to swing it for mid week if everyone can make it. Since the Ozz is still a working stiff we will cut him some slack, but only a little slack.
We arrived this afternoon around 4:30 and are settled in on a 30 amp site till tomorrow afternoon when we move to the 50 amp FHU site for the rest of our stay. We are going to the Scottish Highland Games tomorrow. I will post tentative date and time on the luncheon tomorrow night..

It's two hours from us and we have a full week, but let us know when and we'll see if we can do something. On the other hand where are you going next? Dick and Joyce's RV park is currently open for the summer. Free camping just off Hwy 56, 40 miles south of Manhattan, KS.

We will take a rain check on the free lunch. We plan to be in the KC area the 17th of July for a week. We are going to visit friends and do some site seeing. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Any suggestions on campground?

Jim, I know the feeling, I will be due for a walleye fix soon after we get home around the 20th. Ah, NO I am not paying LOL but you are welcome to buy ours LOL. Dick after this we head for Illinois to visit the son then due north for 500+ miles to home. Thanks for the invite though. As far as the exact day of the feed I am looking at Tuesday or Wed. I have to check that out with the social director but we will see.
Leonard, there several good CGs in the area, we used to stay at Worlds of Fun RV park. It is a bit pricey but is a gorgeous park. We have been staying at the Blue Springs Park off of 470 at NE Bowlin Rd. It is a county park FHU 50 amp sites are around 26 or 27 dollars. Reserve early as they fill up fast on the weekends. 816-5034805 is the # for the reservations office..

Leonard, Try this site to see details on the Blue Springs Lake campground that Exnavydiver suggested. http://www.jacksongov.org/content/78...1/default.aspx
Think you will find it very adequate for the price. Central to many things to do in KC. Jim

We've stayed at all of the county parks and stay at JACOMO almost always because of the camp hosts. Really great folks. JACOMO also seems to be the quietest of the three. If you are 62 or older, be sure to tell them as you get a couple of bucks off each nights stay.

We stayed at Blue Springs Lake Campground and enjoyed it, nice large spaces. We had some very nice MOC members come by and had a great time.
