Hi all,
Do any of you wood workers out there have a Ring Master? Mary wants to get me one for Christmas, she saw bowls made out of rings of wood and thought it was cool (guess she want`s me to expand my horizons)looks like fun on the web site, and she say`s it is small enough to take in the Monty, Heck if it is tool`s I want it LOL.

web.site www.ringmasterlathe.com

Thanks

One of the things I really enjoyed in high school wood shop was turning wooden bowls on the lathe. Made 3 or 4 during the school year and they stayed in the family for many years. Have no idea now where they went to.

Bill,

Yes turning is very enjoyable, been turning for about 5 years or so I turn pens of all kinds ball point, roller ball fountain pens, also bottle stoppers, candle sticks, key chains, bowls, platters etc. I have 3 lathes two stand up large lathes, and a mini lathe i take w/ in the Monty. I also cast my own Acrylic blanks, pheasant feathers, snake skin , you name , for the most part I use exotic woods and old grow woods from all over the world.

If you know someone down your way that has a Ring master lathe sure would like to here from them..

God Bless
