Go to Wal-Mart, $45 for a converter box. Directions are included, simple installation. If you want to do bedroom TV you will need two boxes. No upgrade to antenna is needed, Winegard works fine. Campground we were just at before digital conversion, we received twice the air channels that were received before converter box installation. Picture quality on older TV's seems to have a marked improvement as well. Good luck.

cmp-shooter,
I think you are referring to the Wiengard Wingman. It does improve the signal some. I don't think it is a fix all. It just snaps into the holes for the rubber bumpers on the bottom of the batwing antenna. No wires.

Edit: Winegard Wingman
