Counter top extension

I would like to add an extension to our kitchen counter top. Hopefully one that either matches or compliments the existing one. What has anyone else done?

No pic, sorry, but I took the sink cover and added brace hinges (?) so that it folds down when not in use, and locks in the upright position. Pretty handy.

We had our dealer order in a counter extension for us. It is the exact same color as our counter top. The dealer also supplied the folding hinge mounts and also installed it for us. It works great and is exactly the same as the flip down counter extension from the factory.

we have the 2015 3711FL. The 2016 model came with the extension. I just asked the dealer to order and installed it on my 2015 model. exact match. I added some 1X4 backing to the inside of the Island for support and give me something to drive the mounting screws into.
