Dometic Fridge Removal

I want to replace my Dometic ref with a residential ref. How do you remove the facing to get to the screws holding the Dometic in cabinet?

On the norcold, I have plastic covers over the screws. If dometic is not the same, what do you see when you have any of the doors open? You must have the 13 cuft fridge if you are replacing it with residential...I just can't remember back to 2012 and what my dometic looked like in my diesel pusher. John

The 8 & 10 cf reefers can be replaced just as easily as the larger (4 door) models. 10, 11, & 12 cf residential (apartment) reefers are readily available.

Just looked at mine as it has been a few years since I removed it. Looks like two square slot screws on the bottom which you can see with the refrigerator door open. On the top above the freezer use a flat blade screw driver in a slot on the left top to release the cover over the controls. Once it is off you should see a couple of more screws just like on the bottom. Once those are out the unit will slide out. If you are doing away with the old frig I'd be interested in buying the slip on plastic door shelf's if they are in good condition. Jim

Some installs have a couple of screws in the frame skids in the back behind the outside lower plastic vent as well as what has been pointed out. One will be below the control box on the left and the other below the boiler on the right.

Hi Bill ... paid to have mine removed. Wanted to be sure the gas was taken care of properly.
