in-line fuse

After reading the thread on "Front Landing Leg Problems", I went out to see if I had a in-line fuse on my 2955RL. Bingo, there it was under the shelf were the Hydralic pump sits. I have never seen an in- line fuse. How do you remove it? Mine is in a milky plastic case with shrink tubing on each end. There is a band around one end that says 30 amps. I tried to pry open the plastic sleeve, but it was reluclant to open. I did check to see that I still had Pwoer to raise the legs, so I guess I didn't mess the fuse up.
