Repairing damage to finish

After having the rig almost five years, yesterday I put the first "ding" in it while backing in to our covered storage. Bumped the passenger side towards the rear putting a thumbnail size spot in the finish. No dent, just scraped off the white coating leaving a yellow spot. What is the best way to repair to maintain integrity of the finish? TIA.

On the rear cap or on the side panel? And, if the side panel, is it gel coat or filon finish? You probably know this but gel coat is the shiny finish.

I believe my trailer only has gel coat on the nose-the rest is filon.

I will leave the body work suggestions to those with some expertise. That leaves me out. But I'm wondering if it is in a location where an option might be to put a door over the damage. Maybe like one of the water filler doors. Just a thought.

It's not that big-only about thumbnail size, and it's a scrape, not a hole or dent. I am as much concerned about cosmetics as I am about the integrity of the wall. It is not the side, not the end cap.
