It's hip to be square...

As promised, here are the pics of the square sewer hose tube mounted.

These are the parts we used.

Close up of end caps.

It's a tight fit, but the hose fits ok with the end connectors.

7/8" holes drilled into the bottom for drainage.

We mounted it in front of the landing gear. I attached it to the frame rails and through the floor of the front storage compartment.

Another veiw...

And another...

I'm curious - those that have added the square or tube hose storage - does your unit have a hose storage compartment that came with the Montana? If so, what are you doing with that space now that you've added the external storage?

When we purchased our unit it had a round tube with a square door mounted in front of the landing gear. Problem was that the door was right where the pins for the legs are. As far as I know there is no other place on our Monty for the hose.

My 3295RK has a dedicated sewer hose compartment just aft of the fresh water fill. Ours has the new water management compartment, built into the bay. The sewer hose compartment will hold two hoses and the fittings, including the donut.

Nice job Rescue 1. My 03 2955RL came with a little square cabinet on the left side under the shower. It is a pain to get extra hose crammed in there and there are sharp screws inside to watch out for. If I go with the tube, not sure what I would use the extra cabinet for (Yuck).

Did you install those T-handles to telescope your legs? I noticed the new ones have them, but mine does not (greasy little pin clips). Just wondering if they can be added or if it is part of the leg assembly.

We carry 40' of hose - 4 10' sections, so when we get the under the Monty one, we will still have hose in the sewer storage compartment built into the Monty. You can also carry your elbow connection in there.

The T-handles were on there already. I had a set on my other 5'er too. I have seen them for sale at the dealers, I don't think it would be much of a problem to install them yourself. They clamp around the leg with the pin through the middle.

We installed 2 round pvc with caps behind the front jacks rather than in front. Within the 2 tubes I carry about 50' of sewer hose. I came up short just once too often. We use the old hose storage compartment to store our assortment of sewer hose fittings and the rubber gloves.

Rescue1 - I love this attachment idea and definitely love the use of the square post idea. I have a round but need to add another one and will try your idea. I will post some pics when I get through...how it does as good as yours. Thanks a bunch. Now you see why this is one of the best groups of sharing individuals I have ever seen.

Do you just have bolts into the floor at the ends? No center? I was trying to figure out how to get your hand in there.

We added two bolts in the center along with the two on the edges. They are in just about as far as I can reach (ok, as far as my son can reach...)
