rope lights

Montana Sky, I installed the rope lights under the toe kick today and it really looks great.
Thanks for the suggestion. I did something else that I like. We had no place to put our shoes when we took them off. I looked at the the first step going up to the bedroom and wondered if anything was under it. Guess what, empty space. I cut the front out and added a
2X2 support across the front. Covered the wood with the carpet I removed and added some rope lights inside. It looks great and now I have a place to put our shoes. The rope lights now lights up the floor so I don't have to walk into a dark unit.

Sounds like some more great improvements! It is amazing what a set of rope lights can do... Any way to see some pictures of your new shoe storage??
