Lost a set of keys in Kentucky. Called Montana service and they mailed three blanks to me, no charge. A local locksmith cut them and we are in good shape. Also as a hint: Get a lockbox (like the realtors use) and bolt it inside the propane tank storage area. Place a set of door keys inside and never get locked out again.

We were on a factory tour an owner of an 02 model walked up to an 05 unit and unlocked all the side box locks.I don't know about the main door he did not check it.It looks like they have been using the same locks and keys for years.

Not only that, tractor, but the same two key numbers (ch751 and ch347 or close to that) have been used for many years by many manufacturers. In other words, your Montana locker keys will unlock the lockers on at least 1/2 all the fifthwheels out there. The entry doors are different, at least for the deadbolt side of it.

So I guess it will not do much good to replace my locks when we get ours.

Just my opinion but I wouldn't bother unless I also found a way to beef up the whole locker door locking system. When we had a lock jam on me it took me all of ten seconds to pop the locker open with a screwdriver. The good news is we've never had any theft problems.
