Bad switches

Had 2 bad switches this week. The rocker swith to turn on the electric hot water heater and the push button switch the screen door operates to turn on the lights when the door is opened. The hunt is on to find new ones.

Try some contact cleaner on them, even WD-40 before you switch them out. Make sure you kill the breaker on the water heater switch before you pry it out, isn't much slack in that wire on some units. Get them good and wet and push them 7 or 8 times.
Good luck

The switch for my light under the front overhang went bad on mine a couple years ago. Sprayed it thoroughly with WD40 making sure I got some inside the switch. Has worked fine ever since.

the hot water heater switch is to say it mildly "junk" good to keep a spare for that one. Or you can do what I did and I am sure others have. pull the switch out, extend the wiring inside and install a switch inside where it is more useful. I used a lighted switch, a regular household switch. when switch is on a light is on to remind you. If you are handy you could install it yourself. Just a thought.
