3400 RL leak in bedroom slide question
I have been looking through the forum, but I cannot find my exact problem. My 2008 3400RL bedroom slide's one drain looks like the pic below. I got some water on the bedroom floor during a recent windy rain. If I compare this drain to the one on the other side, it looks like this drain is too long which is holding the seal away from the wall creating a small hole for water! Can another 3400RL owner please look at the front of their bedroom slide and let me know if my drain channel looks too long. THANKS SO MUCH!! I don't want to cut first and regret later. I think this is a factory mistake.

We have the 06 3400 and we have nothing that looks like that. The seal should be flat on the wall..

campingpappy I had a leak in the bedroom slide of our 2010. The leak would saturate the floor on each side of the bed during a good rain. After much investigating and trying fixes including making sure the seals were flipped out and sealing against the slides, I discovered my leak problem came from the bottom metal trim piece on the bottom outside edge of the slide. This trim piece is about 4" wide and has a sealant at the top edge. When that sealant goes bad water can travel in behind it and run onto the floor.
This may not be your problem but it is something to check.

campingpappy, It might help to state what year your 3400 is so someone with the same year could take a look. I also have an'06 3400RL and see nothing like that, perhaps on the newer models there is......You can do this by going to the profile page and listing your year and model under your signature. Nice to list year, make and model of tow vehicle also in case you have questions about that....Good luck with the leak.....

Folks....THANKS SO MUCH!! I will look at all the items that you have mentioned, and I think that I will shorten the gutter so that it is behind the weather strip as it is on the other side. Gosh it is great to deal with such a good group of fellow campers. PS - my trailer is a 2008.

campinghappy, I don't know about shorting that gutter at the inside bottom of your slide if that is what you are referring to.
If you look above your last post at mudchiefs rig you can see that trim piece at the outside bottom of his slide. It is about 4" wide and runs the width of the slide. Check that for sealant at the top edge of it. That was where my water was finding it's way in.
