speaking of fantastic fans!!!?

Our cover sticks when trying to open. What is good to use to keep it from sticking to the gasket. Thanks

fantastic was suggesting 303 protectant. I used a very thin coating of silicone grease and that took care of the problem, a little silicone spray would probably work also.

I have had good luck by cleaning the cover and gasket really well before using the 303. I do it once a year and so far, no sticking. I'm on the third year.

Thanks for the suggestions. OZZ, the hair idea is good, but I suffer from a lack of hair folicles and needed some other options!! :-)

While at a Rally in Georgia three years ago, I stopped at the Fantastic Fan booth and they gave me several packets of the 303 Protectant. They suggested cleaning both the gasket and the dome edges itself with an alcohal wipe, letting it dry, then putting on the 303 Protectant on both the dome edging and the gasket. It will stick if you are not using it much and the gasket warms up from the sun hitting it. When it sticks for me now I use a small wire or stick and push up on the lid while opening it. You can contact Fantastic Fan and they will recommed just about the same thing that all of us have said. If you need parts they are great at helping you out in anything you might need also.

Call Fantastic Fan and tell them the problem and they will probably send you a couple sample packs of both the 303 and another product that goes on the gaskets..
