Bryce Canyon National Park

Can anyone recommend where to stay at Bryce. We were hoping to go there then move over to Grand Staircase Escalante and on to Moab. I was hoping for at least water and electricity. Thanks John

When we visited the area last spring we stayed at the KOA in Cannonville. About 20 miles from Bryce, but at a lower elevation so the weather was nicer. We went to Bryce and drove thru Rubys Resort area and it was nice if you want to be right in the park. Have a great trip and pack plenty of camera space the views are spectacular. We hiked sunrise point to sunset point and was nice, just be prepared for the climb to the top at sunset vista area.

We stayed last year at the Bryce Canyon Pines Store and Campground. It is our kind of campground--simple and wooded. Not everyone likes that type of park, but I would definitely go back there. It is very convenient to the park entrance--a matter of a few miles.

Rubys Inn has full hook ups and everything you need. Located right outside the park.

Gojodo,
We stayed in the RV park located at Ruby's Inn. Ruby's is the central focal point in the Bryce Canyon area. The RV park is located amongst the trees of the forest and is a FHU type park.

I'm not familiar with the park David and Shirley mentioned. It sounds like a nice park.

I believe there is also an RV park located inside the park. Of course it is the standard National Park type. This is a very busy park so you probably need to make reservations if you're visiting during the 'busy' season. Bryce Canyon is a year round 'busy' type area.

Good luck and enjoy.

We also stayed at Ruby's a few years ago. It is very close to the park entrance and a good place to stay while exploring the area. If you like to hike a little make sure to see Calf Creek Falls. It is a 6 mile round trip that is almost all level ground.

My family and I spent 8 nights at Rubys Inn this past June (2010. The location was great because the shuttle pick up into the park is right by the RV park. We thought the RV park was okay but the location made it worth it. If you have kids the pool is nice. Just beware some spots are tight due to the trees. We saw one couple with a 5er around 37 feet pull out and leave becuase he couldn't get his RV into the pull through he was assigned.
