Replacing grease seals

dieselguy Montana Master Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Haysville Posts: 4,261 M.O.C. #3085	I pull them all the time to check the brakes without replacing the wheel seal. Just be gentle going back on and all will be fine. I don't get some's thinking on always replacing the seal. You're not going to damage it pulling the wheel off as the seal is already on the ledge on the spindle for the seal ... going back on is when you have to be careful whether it is a used or new seal.
