Mtpocket2 we had a Mountaineer TT before our current Monty. It was a good unit, with a couple of slides, some 35 feet in length. It was a good rig with no problems. We just wanted a little bit more room and the only way to get that was with more slides. So, we went to the 3400 RL that has four slides. Of course there are pros and cons to each type. I had to give up my camper cover on my truck, learn to make different types of turns and learn to back somewhat differently, but the going down the highway you will not get pushed and sucked around by 18 wheelers with a 5 er like you do with a TT. I guess as most have said, it goes with the types of life style and budget you have to expend. Good Luck on any choice.

I don't think there is a difference in quality, depending on the manufacturer, the difference for me is towing. Every 5ver I've owned, high or low quality, pulled better than any TT. That said, to each their own and some people have different wants and needs.

As you can see in our signature, we have a 315RLS, 2003 and we love it. Never have had to do anything to it. Tows great and fits our pole building.(12 ft door)
