Tire pressure question

The factory specification plate (on right front corner of my 2003 3280RL) states the following:
Tire - 235/80R16D
Rim - 16X6
Cold tire pressure - 65 psi

While at the dealer today there was a 2000 3280RL in the service next to mine. The plate on that unit stated:

Tire - 235/80R16E
Rim - 16X6
Cold tire pressure - 80 psi

Although my plate says D load rated tires, the unit actually has E rated tires. Both of these units have aluminum rims. All of the other units I checked on the lot in this size & weight range (Montana & Jayco) stated 80psi.

My question(s): What is the correct tire pressure for my unit (65psi or 80psi)? Does my unit have an incorrect specification plate? I asked the service techs and they said since the unit has E rated tires, to put 80psi in them. Thanks for your input.
