Attention all those with CBs...

In the "CB Channel" thread is was suggested (thanx Rich) to start a thread on CB handles.
What is a CB handle you ask? A CB handle is much the same as your User Name here on the MOC. In fact it could very well be your user name or your MOC number or anything else that you may care to use. Years ago when I was in the tire business I went by The Tireman. I got out of the tire business but I was still a firefighter and my handle became The Fireman.

I haven't gotten a handle this time around so to get my attention just key up and shout..

Hey you in the Montana!
Now you gotta do that on channel 19 cause that's where you'll find me.

Anyway What's your handle and what channel, if any, do you monitor while on the road?

Send a message via MSN to Fordzilla
I go by Fordzilla and monitor #19 unless there is too much chatter then I will flip down to another channel to talk to another RV'r or someone I met along the way.

I go by Archangel. In practicality, I have not heard handles used in over three years.

I agree with Mike, I listen to my CB quite a bit, it has been a while since I heard anyone refer to a handle.

Maybe MOC can revive an old concept.

We go by FUNLUVR like the license plate on the truck. Monitor 19 but not all the time. Point at your ears as we (or you) pass and we'll grab the earpiece.

Where have you been??? You just can't go gallivanting all over the country and not check in once in a while. I have no one to get into our "discussions" with.

"Straight Shooter" here. I've had that handle since the times when you had to license your CB and register your handle!! (Shows how old I am, eh?)

Isn't it interesting that out of the 300+ people who have read this thread, only 16 people have CB radios in their rigs?
PS Back in the day my call sign was KTQ 4237

Our handle is co-pilot. monitor channel 19 mostly. Periodically check 13 but its too quiet.
If there is problems ahead channel 19 is the place to be..
