Newbies be warned- this site will cost you time and money :)

No seriously it is in a good way.

Mods I have done.
Outside surge protector-inside/outside-- just do it!!
Hooks in basement. hang wires and hoses
Stackable W/D vented with drainpan and drain
LCI Solid Steps
Ford OEM Aux Camera and TPMS
Slide Toppers
Cut down bed to queen size and res mattress- we now can make the bed with less whining
Hooks for keys and leashes

Mods to do-- and it keeps growing
Brass vacuum breaker valve under sink for blackwater flushline
Sailun tires-- before the Rainers they put on rain on me.
Dometic 320 toilet--if it fits-- Dometic to stop the flood before it happens-- 320 cause it is a guy thing
rewire sat and cable- So no cables through the windows
See level gauges with dual display-no more guessing on flushing- she used how much water showering?
2 AGM batteries-I sometimes forget to water the them and who doesn't need more power
Reese goose box-- clean bed, cushioned ride.
IS
Disk brakes
Electric valve actuator--no more crawling under slide to dump galley
Fence posts for sewer hoses.- when it comes to sewer storage-- size matters.
MORryde box- where spring board stairs used to be.

Now to find the money and time to do all of this.

When you rewire for your satellite, let me know how it turned out. I need to do the same.

Still need to check the routing, but the plan is to go directly from the inconvenience center to the living room. We will only use that TV for Satellite. I plan on leaving Cable and OTA access enabled for living room and bedroom.

The good thing is you don't need to do it all at once.

JC,

I have run a dedicated cable for my living room TV - easy to do. Pulled my fireplace to get access and ran a cable from my receiver above the TV outside to outdoor TV compartment. Easy to hook my satellite antenna up to it. Still leaves original wiring in place for cable and OTA.

Question

jeffba sorry to resurrect old thread but noticed you upgraded and I’m waiting for my 3855BR from Hershey show. This will be my first 5w from TT and am curious of recommended upgrades to do immediately and planned to do? Suggestions?

I may start a new thread to gather some more feedback but figure good place to start as any!

Thanks

just ordered 4 slide toppers from trailer, 1st upgrade, I think next will be the entertainment system. I don't understand why Keystone didn't install a blue ray dvd & internet connectivity so we could download movies.

Easy to do with the existing cable and still hook up satellite in the convenience center. I just connected the cable from the living room directly to the convenience center hook-up. I bought the cable tester from Lowe's to identify the cable from the living room at the splitter and moved it the back side of satellite connection behind the convenience center. Takes less than 5 minutes and is easy to put back if you want other options.
