It will be our first 5th wheel....we are really excited to be upgrading and hope to learn a lot from this site. Any advice on the rig would be greatly appreciated. So, just got rig delivered by seller yesterday evening. This was the 1st 3950 we have walked into... actually for Montana we've been in (only been in High Country). WOW..it is really nice and huge! Actually I'm a little intimidated about getting into some of the smaller parks we go to. I must say...seller said he only used it 3x...he was right...still got the new smell .. So excited to take it out next weekend!!!

Actually, I'm in VA. It was about 94 yesterday when it was delivered. Only have 30 amp at house. Ran one AC and in about 2 hours inside temp was at 75. Keeping my fingers crossed...

So is it a 3950BH or a 3950BR (we have the 3950BR) as I can't find a BH model to compare it to mine? Also is it a 2017 or 2018? Lastly would maybe like to talk to get pictures of your return air and duct work to see if it changed it from our early production 2018. We can change the temp 3 degrees from outside to inside with one air blowing non-stop and it blows at 50 degrees. Thanks brother.

Sorry, its the 3950BR (BH is my travel trailer). It is a 2016. When you say pics, do you mean what I can see in the ceiling as far as supply and return vents?

Yes please, pics of all of the returns and vents and their locations. I saw what I thought was a return in the office on the wall in a 2016 video... mine does not have that.

Thanks - JB

Could also text them 417.737.1521 thanks.

Nice I have a 2016 3950 BR. I have to modify all my vents to get the AC to cool properly, I just cut out every other louver, made a big difference. I just started another thread, having , I think, an issue with my fridge getting cold enough. Hopefully that is simply. I just ordered a pare solenoid for the landing gear. Miner , just once, needed to be tapped to get to work. Not sure if it is going or not, Lippert says its the most common, I found it only for 65 bucks, and now carry a spare. all in all I love the unit and layout, We ordered ours new from Hershey when that FP was introduced. This is our second full summer in it. Its great for a family, we have 2 kids, 7 yr old twins, and the room is amazing inside. Good luck with it, and never hesitate to ask questions, lots of help on here.

Nice, may have to try it. My refer is also not getting cold, setting on 9 results in only 52 degrees. In shop now, will wait to see what fridge fix is and pass it along.

Welcome to the Montana family from Texas. Mine is a 2015 3720RL and I love it. I've noticed the ice cream in the freezer isn't real firm. I really wanted a resdential ice box but this one is pretty big and will work until it goes out which I hope isn't soon.

Enjoy your new Montana! My wife and I picked up a 2017 3950BR a few weeks ago after we had a nightmare of an experience with our Forest River Sabre 36BHQ. We absolutely love our Montana. We plan on living in it full time while I finish out my Naval career. We are having the infamous A/C not cooling off the rig problem but plan on performing a few of the fixes listed in other threads. Hopefully that goes well.

I'm cracking up reading your original post. We just put a deposit down on a 2017 3950BR. Trading up form a Forest River Vibe bunk house. We are taking our last trip this weekend in the TT. Also late 30's, but with 2 kids.
