Bad Black Streaks!
I have tried everything I know to remove some very stubborn black streaks on the Montana. Does anyone have any magical home remedies for the nasty streaks. I have tried several commercial black streak removers but they don't budge some of the streaks.
Thanks

Try some GelGlos Fiberglass cleaner/polish. It's sold in some Camping World stores, but also in Spa/Hot Tub stores. We had it for our Hot Tub, but found it works great on Black streaks and other stains on the finish of the RV and TV.

Fantastic works well also. Make sure you wax after using it as it has bleach in that might take your wax off.

Is there a Harley Davidson dealership nearby? My Dad actually stumbled onto this. I gave him some Harley Davidson swirl and scratch remover for his new black pickup, he tried some on the black streaks on his trailer and it worked great! I tried it on my Montana today and I must say it was pretty painless and it worked very well. It sells for about 8 bucks

I use Krud Cutter. There are things that Awesome wont touch that Krud Cutter will and there are things Krud Cutter wont work on and Awesome does. Krud Cutter on black streaks; Awesome on the yellowing of the plastic microwave vent.

WD 40 has been the magic elixir for me. I'm thinking you are talking about the black marks left on the trailer or slide walls when the slides rub against the trailer body.

GelGlos Fiberglass cleaner polish or car wax works on the streaks from the window rubber and the slideout rubber seals great with some elbow grease. Those marks don't come off easy just like the bugs on the front of the trailer.(Bounce sheets)

Simple Green is what I use
Make a mild solution in a Spray Bottle, spray on, wipe off, then wash with your Soap and Wax Wash.
I do sections at a time, I do not leave the Simple Green on for too long, as it will leave streaks, if not neutralized.

Purple power. Cleans black streaks and tires as good as any tire cleaner I've ever used and bugs. For bugs spray it on let set for a few minutes and wipe the little critters off guts and all. And it's never hurt anything I've ever sprayed it on in over 40 years.

When all else fails use brake cleaner and wax everywhere it touched as wax will be gone. For rust streaks Lowes sell a product by GooGone that you spray on and rinse off.

Acetone works as well. Doesn't hurt the fiberglass, but probably is a good idea to wax after.

I have had black streaks before. But the ones I am talking about now are very strange. As the streak came down the front side, I could get rid of it on the gel fiberglass with a little effort. But where it crossed some of the decals, it actually looks like it stained the decals where the water dripped. Never seen this before.

I have had very good results when washing using Simplegreen and bleach. This last time, I tried just Dawn dish soap and was not happy with the result. I went over it again with the Simplegreen and bleach and all came clean. My streaks were quite heavy this time. One gallon of Simplegreen last me 2 complete washes including the roof and a gallon of bleach will last 4-5 washes. I just use an extendable RV wash brush and a 3 gallon bucket.
