Mini-MOC, Galveston TX

Today (2-25-10) Waynem and wife Earlene, SReigle and wife Vicki, and JimF and wife Joan, met in Galveston for a great Mexican Dinner and much gabbing about everything under the sun and about all those of you who were not there.

Seriously folks, we all found ourselves in the local area and decided a meet up lunch was a must, it had been far to long since we, Joan and I, had seen Steve and Vicki as well as Wayne and Earlene. Life is to short to skip opportunities to greet old friends, do it, you will be glad you did. Joan and I have had some close calls lately and plan to live every moment as if it's our last, cling to friends and family closely.

Thanks for the lunch guys, it was great.

No, no, I think it was WE who had the largest share of the pleasure. It was great to see Jim and Joan again. It has been more than three years. And it was a great pleasure to meet Wayne and Earlene. Any time we can actually lay a handshake or hug on one of our electronic friends it is a real pleasure. Thanks to you all.

We were there at Galveston State Park. We just left yesterday. Too bad we didn't know about it! Oh well, maybe next time!

I guess that is why we have to let others know where we are going to be at any given time.

I'm sorry we missed y'all. However, we are in a stick house here and you are welcome to drop by anytime, or call for a lunch or dinner date.

Charlie, we would have enjoyed seeing you two again. It's been a long time.

Al and Nita, we haven't seen you since the rally. I'm really sorry we didn't know you were there. We've seen a few Montanas in there, from the road, but the one time we tried to go in there they wanted to charge us $5 each (day use fee) so we didn't. Had we known you were there we would have come to visit. Yesterday, passing by on the highway, we saw one Montana in a site and another that looked to have just arrived and were not set up yet.

Steve, we left there on Friday! Sorry we missed you and Vickie as well! As far as the $5 per person goes, it sure seems a little steep to me. We have the Annual pass ($60) so we can get into all the Texas State parks without paying the fee. They even charge you an extra $5 per person daily over your camping fees. Since we've stayed at quite a few TX state parks this year, it was a good deal for us. We will see you at the Spring Rally!

You fulltimers have all the fun. I am sure you had a great time. We will be there soon enough. It seems like time is flying by (except at work). At least us northerners are finally getting rid of our snow. Only a foot and a half of ice left on the lake. Have safe travels.

What great fun, we would have loved to go to the rally in Kerrville but the Doctors haven't cleared me to travel. Got a lung infection in the lung side that wasn't operated on and half removed. Hopefully we will be able to hit the road again in early April. Like I said in a previous post, it's been on hellava year for us. My folks used to live in Kerrville, right on the river, it is such a nice area. Enjoy everyone, we will be thinking of you.

It was terrific to meet new friends and see good friends again! And Yaga's was good, as usual!
