Question about the residential refrigerator?

Hi

I have a question about the new residential refrigerator system.

We don’t have any high draw items like the inverter used to power the refrigerator.

When you plug in to power at the RV Park does this system switch to the park ac or keep using the inverter and use the converter to keep that batteries charged?

All inverters installed have either a built in transfer switch or an external one to auto switch over and the converter will charge batteries unless you have flipped off its breaker. Inverter is in standby mode until you switch it off or park power disappears.

As jcurtis934 said - Our 2015 - HC-353RL has the auto switch. I do shut the inverter off when we are set up for a week long stay, just to save the fan and such - but that's my choice.

I have an aftermarket GoPower Inverter Charger that has a power share mode that is very useful if you only have 20 or 30 amps available. If you are asking for more power than you have available from your shore power or generator the inverter will add more power. It switches back to a charger when your demand is less and additional shore power is available to recharge your battery bank.

Its real handy to run your coffee pot or microwave for a couple of minutes when you don't have quite enough shore power or generator to do it.
