15 Months

We’ve had our 2018 Montana 3160RL for 15 months, the only issues we’ve had are the crappy brake magnet install from the factory and the black waste gate valve. I’m going to replace the waste valve this weekend, others then that it been a great 5th. We’re getting ready to head to Ca in December and will be full time for the next two years. My next Job assignment is Ontario, it will be nice to go back to SoCal as I grow up their.

Full time, I wish.

We have a 2016 3160. The minute I first used the cable operated tank valves I knew trouble was waiting to happen. I removed them and installed new grey and black valves. The new valves are actuated by a solid metal rod between the pull handle and the valve. Just like how they did for the kitchen grey tank. The rod runs through a hole I drilled in the frame. Just for overkill I put a gate valve at the end of the tank drain where the sewer hose hooks to. If a valve ever fails, the secondary valve will save the day.

That’s a great idea, the waste gate does not hold so I always get wast coming out when I disconnect.

Valterra T58 Twist on waste valve goes right on the end of your wast line and hooks to your west hose. You can get it CW or on line. works great you get that little dribble! When you pull the cap off.

How do you like the factory air bags? Is the unloaded ride height lower? How is the ride loaded and unloaded?

I like them a lot as soon as we hook up it raises the truck back up to wear it is spose to be. But I can over ride it if I want to from inside I can add more air. The ride is good loaded or unloaded for a 1 ton truck. It rides way better than are 2008 1 ton did that's for sour. Way better susp system then the older ones.

Just to chime in on your AB? Ride is harsh w/o 5r. Loaded height is about same level - TV sinks when loaded then AB raises TV up slightly. Ride much more comfortable w/5r.
