Carpet

We own a 2015 Montana legacy 3610. The carpet is wearing very quickly. We traded in a 2003 k-z New Vision ultra. The carpet still looked New when we traded it in in 2015... Has anyone Changed their carpet?. Is it expensive?..thanks..

I pulled out the carpeting on one rig, and replaced with vinyl woodlike laminate. Don't think putting carpet in instead would have been difficult, except for the slides. I just left the carpeting in place at the slides as color match was not an issue. Cost would be a variable of quality of the replacement carpeting and whether it is a DIY project. My project came in under $200. Have to say, our 2015 is mostly the vinyl wood which we like very much, but the carpeting upstairs, is a disappointment. Having the same wear experience as you. Carpet quality not the same as our 2010 which also looked great when we traded it. And we always take our shoes off at the front door.

Helen cleans the carpet twice a year she just did it yesterday. When we traded our 06 3400 in 2012 the dealer thought we had replaced the carpet as it looked new. We do not remove our shoes we do lay down some of that clear plastic material that you see at RV shows in high use areas. Having said that I would rather have vinyl or wood as it is much easier to maintain.
