did you bend the driven part of the leg or the inner part that is pinned ? The inner part should just drop out after you support the front end with a good jack and jack stands

To supplement racerjoe ... you could just leave it hooked to the truck and pull over a dip as in where your driveway meets the street to give a bit more clearance to pull the extension out. Be certain the outer leg housing isn't damaged as well.

Hi
I have had to replace my front landing gear 3 times since new. I have the old ones in the garage.
When I get home I will check and see if the drop down comes with the new landing gear.

PS
I am in town taking care of some business. I will be home with a couple of hours.

Mike - are you saying you bent the leg because you tried to raise it without releasing the JTs? I don't think the motor is that strong. I forgot to release mine and only blew a fuse (actually 3 fuses before I figured out what I was doing wrong. )
Have you tried detaching the JT struts to that leg to make sure it is not one of the struts that is binding?

When the leg is bent, no choice but to replace. Been there, done that.

well I took things apart and my problem is bigger than just the drop leg.
the inner tube and screw are bent a little, they still operate but the drop leg only slides halfway up.
for the time being and budgetary concerns, i'm taking a two pronged approach.
first I cut my old leg in half and am using that in general as it will retract to give the leg ground clearance and then secondly i'll use the leg from Phil in higher situations as a backup
thanks again all, it didn't take much to bend
