We now in Rockport, TX

Yesterday we left Willis and are now in Rockport. The temps have been in the 70s the last two days and we are eating them up! Talked to a friend in Michigan today and he was pleased that the temp had gone to 30. We will be here for two weeks and it seems like there is so much to see and do around here. Since we do not like to rush like we had to when vacationing in the past, we will probably just see some and leave some for the next trip. Sunny is loving this weather, too. She thought that we had lied to her when we told her that if she let us adopt her we would take her to warmer climes. The freezing weather through Mich, Tenn and into Ark seemed to confirm to her (and us) that we were going to stay cold. Thank you Texas for warming up for us! In two weeks we will head for the Rio Grande Valley.

ENVY, ENVY! Boy, I wish we had gone back to Rockport this winter instead of staying home with 10" of some sort of white crap on the ground. Rockport is a neat place-we spent the better part of 2 winters there.

Yes, ARJ, this area is nice. We are looking forward to seeing and doing as much as we can.
Thanks, Bobby. We sure miss you folks, too! Next year, why don't you join us? Get ARJ back too and have a winter rally! - Jim

Make sure you ride the ferry between Port Aransas and Aransas Pass. Look for the Dolphins. The ferry is free.

Carol and Jim,

Earlene and I are sorry that we missed getting together with you, but as it was, you were better off not catching what we had. It ran it's course.

Since you are enjoying Texas so much, I'm thinking you'll be back. Next time let us know and we'll give you some campgrounds a little closer to us for a visit.

Happy trails.

Hey Jim where are you staying in Rockport? That is one of the areas we were considering to spend some winter months in sometime in the future.
Any suggestions?

You're on, Wayne. We'll let you know.
Phil, we are at Bay View RV Resort. It is an ROD and C2C park is why we chose it. The inner roads are really bad but our site and the ones around us are large and we are on the small lake/pond. It has full 50A hookups and free cable and seems to have a lot of activities. It is also located well for the entire area. As long as we remember to drive slowly in the park, we are fine with it.

Jim and Carol, it was indeed a pleasure seeing you two again and having lunch while you were in the area.
