Did they fix your slide leak?

We have a leak in the super slide on our 2006 3004RL. Bob has caulked just about everything he can and it still leaks. We are taking the Montana in when we get back home from Kemah to have the frig recall done as well as the slide looked at. He seems to think that they will never find the leak.

I am wondering if anyone has had a leak and resolved the problem?

At night, take a flashlight on the inside and shine it into every seal you have on the super slide with someone outside watching for light to shine through.

When you are standing outside looking at what appears to be the seal is actually nothing more than a wiper seal. It wipes the water off of the side as it retracts in. the actual seal is against the interior of the slide and butts up against the wall. It may just be a simple slide adjustment to get the slide to extend an 1/8 or 1/4 inch to make the seal. You can't caulk those seals, and since you have caulked everything else, I'd put my money on the slide seal. However, water does seek it's own level and it could be coming from somewhere on the roof.

On that slide on our rig, the factory never properly sealed the seam a few inches out from the outside, that runs the entire length of the slide. I think they fixed it with Eternabond...caulk would not work.

Our 07 3485 Montana leaked at the front of the big slide. We took it to the dealer 2 times with no result. I did some checking and discovered that the joining of the side seal and bottow seal did not fully change directions when in. I simply check that before we depart a campground to make certain that the seals are completely over. It seems to work. At least so far.
Good luck
