Doran Pressure Pro

Someone at the Buellton rally (sorry I can't remember who) said they had a Doran Pressure Pro. I checked the web site and this looks like a useful but, expensive item ($690). I would be interested in any opinions of the Pressure Pro good or bad. Also, any ideas on similar products. At $50 per value transmitter, anyone had a problem with theft?

These are what I use on my rig and my truck. They work well. I know several others who use them also.

Hi We have Doran sysyem on 5er only. Felt I could feel and see truck but not the trailer. Been on over 2 years on same batteries with only operator error problems-let the antenna come almost unscrewed. Folks at company very knowlegable and helpful with my problem. Once you have the ability to watch the trailer tires you will feel very uncomfortable with out the system Dan

We have Pressure Pro on our dually and will order more sensors when we get the Big Sky. They do give you piece of mind. We noted that when we initially installed the sensors that our tire pressure was about 10 pounds low. Getting up to proper pressure gave us an instant boost in MPG.

Orv: Are you talking the valve stem caps (similar to what Oz showed earlier in the year?). Reason I ask is I don't see anything on the web site you posted above that has an in-cab monitor like the Pressure Pro or SmarTyre system(s).???? (Us techies like our electronic toys !!).

Yes, I was just showing another way of monitoring tire pressure such that you don't have to measure it every time you move. I just thought that BirdingRVer might appreciate another means without putting out a great expenditure.

Installed Pressure Pro on our 3655FL and had an alarm on I-10 in Louisana. Got off the road and saved the tire. Next day they went on the truck with no regrets. One set on trailer = app. $350.00, one blown tire and body damage is a little more.
