RTS fuel card

Does anyone use the RTS fuel card for Pilot/Flying J truck stops? If so do you recommend the card or not. Thanks.

I think it is a line of credit for Flying J/ Pilot truck stops. You swipe it at the pump and it saves you from going inside. You also save about 14 cents a gallon. I'm thinking of signing up for it but want other members opinions.

It was ok, but I didn't like having another credit card and realized I could get a better deal. Now I use an old RV Advantage card from Pilot to get my discount and then pay for it with a Sam's club Mastercard which gives me 5% off so between the two I get more off than the Pilot Credit Card gave me. I doubt the RV Advantage cards are still available so if I didn't have that I'd have stayed with the Pilot credit card.

isn't the RTS card for commercial drivers and fleets. I googled it and it seems that it is.

The company has called me several times. I told them we would only use the card a few times a year pulling the RV. He told me that was perfectly fine. I am going to get this card I believe.

I have a Pilot-Flying-J-RV-Plus Fuel card. I like using truck stops because of the plentiful locations, roominess around the pumps, no dodging car cowboys, DEF at the pumps, and consistent inside services. Price is often maligned compared to discount stations in town, but I think it is OK especially for what you get.

Pilot also has a pretty decent mobile app. You can use it before you get to the pump, then just enter a code number. No prepaying inside, or going inside at all if you don't want to. You can also apply your Good Sam discount with this, I believe.

I put a 50 gal aux tank in the bed so I don't have to stop at truck stops. Fuel up in town at night or in the AM and save .50+ gal. paid for the tank in two trips from FL to CA and back.

This may be off track, but we don't use Pilot or Flying J because the fuel economy is about 70% of Chevron or Shell. This has happened on both 2006 and 2010 Ram 2500. And the other fuel ischeaper.

I really used to use them a lot with the RV Advantage card also. But since they (and now apparently Love's too) switched to B20, I have to go elsewhere. My truck is only approved for B5. I've run it a couple times without a problem, but don't want to risk it any more than I have too. I also don't seem to get as good of mileage with the B20 but the difference wasn't too great.
