Thermostats

I think it is time for you to take a long hard look at those Dometic remote thermostats that are coming with the new units. A lot of people are finding that they just don't work right. And even if they did work right, they are of dubious value as installed in a Montana. Take a look at some of the posts. I think there must be a generic fault in these systems. Most of us would be happy with a $20 Hunter or similar digital thermostat.

You know I am about as lazy as they come. I have a remote for the TV, VCR, & DVD. A "Remote Thermostat"??????? How often does a person change a thermostat that they have to have a remote. I'd sooner have a set back thermostat than any darn remote.

I might add that the reason a lot of us are going to the digital Hunter or Lux thermostats is because the old pre-remote thermostats allowed far too much temperature swing before kicking in. Our Hunter has an adjustable 'span'. Ours is set to one degree and it is far more comfortable in here the nearly two years we've used this thermostat.
