Level up system

My 3790RD sits level behind my truck and the front level up jacks only have 6.75 inches of ground clearance. I'm wondering how much clearance other Montana 3790RD have? I have checked and discussed it with my dealer and the jacks cannot be raised any higher.

Ours is about the same, but if you don't drive off a high curb, the front jacks can't hardly touch ground, because they are so close to the truck.

My 3750 has very low legs. Even had other RV owners talk to me about them. I guess my legs are very close to the same measurement as you report. In 20,000 miles, I never have had a dragging issue. I am extremely cautious, but when in those "oh X rap" moments I never hit one. Thank the Lord!

I have had mine scrape on the ground a couple times. I usually get the wife to,watch when I think it is an issue. I spoke with lippert about it and they said to raise them up a hole, as long as I could get the same number of bolts in. I haven't done it yet.

Only close on a crappy park road that rocked the montana low on one side and real close to hitting the bed rails as well. Neither happened, I haven't been back to that ga park, and now I sort of watch the bed rails and go really really slow at times just for lowering my chances. John

It looks like all Montanas have low front level up jacks, so I'll just have to be extra careful. I've been used to the Big Foot leveling system on my previous trailer and there was a good 16 inches of clearance.

So far night issues but there were times I was definitely concerned. Watch often via mirrors but so far so good. Have had our 3791RD since April and have been out often.

Been on some bad dirt roads and mildly off road with no problems. Some parking lot entrances have concerned me, but again, so far no problems.

I have the 3790RD and have been concerned about the same issue when I noticed how close all the jacks were to the ground.

About the same with ours. We have never dragged the legs and we've pulled Hannah pretty far back in the woods.

Hi

We scraped the speed bump in one of the Florida RV parks but didn’t do any damage. Ours are the electric ones not the hydraulic ones and they can’t be changed unless you have someone do some welding for you.

If yours are the hydraulic ones used in the level up system the only time I looked at them they appeared to be mounted where you could put spacers between the mount flange and the frame and raise them.

Phil P
