Water Pump FloJet 03526-144A vs 03526-144B

Looking to keep a spare water pump on-hand for my 2011 Montana Mountaineer 347THT. At around $60, it's not bad insurance to have ready, IMO.

I took a photo of the pump, it's a "FloJet 03526-144"

When I searched for this model number, I found both FloJet 03526-144A and 03526-144B.

What's the difference between the "A" and the "B" models? More importantly, which one should I get for my rig?

Thanks, agreed. Yep, right after I posted this I ran across some other threads that said to get the ShurFlo instead which is quieter than the original equipment FloJet. The ShurFlo is only about $10 more.

What I think I'll do is get the ShurFlo and replace my FloJet now, and just keep my original FloJet as the spare.

Some people said to also get the ShurFlo silencing hose kit and the ShurFlo filter. The ShurFlo pump is quieter and with the silencing hose kit, together they're saying the pump noise is 75% less than the original FloJet. Sounds (pun) good!

Related to this, what is the very best pump available? Being full timers in a park where they sometimes shut off the water at night and we have to get ready for work before it is turned on this is a big deal now!

That's what we did in our last rig and it's on the agenda for this summer in this one. I'll do the Shuffle, silencing kit and put a foam pad under it.

Good plan; that is what I did. You will not regret getting the ShurFlo Revolution. The filter is cheap insurance and you might as well put the silencing hoses on it while you are in there. We can hardly hear our pump running now.

How much quieter is the ShurFlo than the FloJet? When the FloJet kicks on, it sounds like there's someone with a rivet gun working on my trailer.

I read someone used a mouse pad under the pump to help quiet it down. What kind of foam pad are you using? How thick?

Also read some people also use the ShurFlo Pressurized Accumulator Tank so that the pump doesn't kick on for small jobs, like washing hands for 8-10 seconds. Have you tried this?

none of them are silent but the Sureflo is significantly more quite

I found the remco aquajet to be among the best for a 12v pump. It has the pressure and more importantly, gpm at high pressure. I put it in just because of the campground water pressure issues.

My Shurflo is probably 75-80% quieter than the Flo-jet. I have the silencer kit on mine and it's hard to tell how much it works as I installed everything together. Be sure to keep your hoses coiled on the silencer kit to reduce vibration if you install it. I also added some foam on the water lines I could reach. Any water lines you can install foam on will help. As for installing the water-pump on a rubber or foam pad I doubt it will help much on the Shurflo as it already has very good rubber mounts on the bottom. I can stand outside next to the convenient center and can only hear the pump if I am listening for it and in the bedroom just barely hear it. I have some noise behind the shower coming from the water pipes sometimes but no hammering like it use to be. Anyone who installs the Shurflo will be a happy camper.

Agreed, I had a pad under the FloJet but took it out when I put the Shurflo in.
