NO LP IN REFIG

Just wondering if anyone has had a problem with the LP on the refig.?
I went to get ready for a trip and the refig would not run on LP. Works fine on AC. The only thing I did different is I forgot to turn on the tank LP before I tried firing it up.
I realized what I had done and turned it on and made sure all of the other LP stuff was working. Every thing else works fine.
Any help would be great
Thanks
Don

You may not be getting enough pressure if you opened the valve too fast. Probably not it, but I'd shut the valve and open it very slowly then see if things improve.

Sounds like you have a solenoid problem. It may be the solenoid or it may be the thermocouple that sits in the fire during startup. Do you get LP to the pilot light when you hold down the Pilot to start up? If that starts.. but no big flame when you turn it to ON/RUN or whatever.. it's likely the solenoid.

Shut the tank off or if you have both tanks open shut both off, wait a minute turn one on

The fridge requires 12V to operate the controls even on 120V, if you are hooked up to shore power then you would receive the 12V from the converter. If you are disconnected from shore power when trying to operate the fridge on propane, chances are you have no 12V to the control board, in that case check your batteries or reconnect to shore power and try propane again.

When you switch to propane you should be able to hear the fuel solinoid open and the fridge trying to ignite the fuel, if there is no fuel after a short period of time the fridge will quit trying to ignite.
If you have propane to the stove burners then I do not see a problem with the propane regulator or a lack of propane from the tanks.

Sometimes it takes a while to get propane to the burner on the fridge especially if you have just refilled the tanks. Try it several times going from propane to electric and back to propane.

Do you have propane to the stove? If you turned the tank on to fast it shut the valve down because it thinks it has a bad leak somewhere! Turn the tank/s off and wait about five minutes then go to the tank you normally use first and SLOWLY turn the tank back on, then to and light one of the burners on the stove. If you have adequate flame on the stove then turn your frig on gas and see if it lights off. IF NOT, then it is thermocouple or solenoid that is malfunctioning or bad. I know you can check these but don't know the procedure. Maybe someone will come along and tell you how IF it is not the gas tank valve.

Glad to hear it fixed itself. Don't you just love it when that happens and you are left wondering what the heck was wrong?

Sounds like it needed to reset the controller.

Next time, turn on the gas, and light the stove. Once the stove is lit, the refer will fire off much easier. There is lots of air in the line, by lighting the stove, it gets the air out of the line and the refer doesn't sit there and try to clear the line itself.
