Depending on age of montana, your roof could be nearing it's warranty or not. If your montana is an older unit that has little market value, then it comes down to how much money you wish to invest in it. I know of one person who has had his older cedar creek coated with some product after it started to leak. Three years later it is still good, but he also doesn't tow it as it sits in storage lot for 6 months during florida summers are hot and super humid with much rain .

We have had some appear near the front of ours. I covered most of it with Eternabond tape for now.

Mine is a 3455sa 2012 so I want to get a lot more use out of if only thinking that RvArmor would reduce a lot of maintenance in the further and they give a lifetime warranty
Thanks for the responses

Armor cost: 2020 pricing: 35’ roof x $150 per foot = $5,250. at lot of money to spend on something that is losing its value quickly.

I'd just recoat it if it were my trailer. better yet, just buy a new one.

happy turkey day.

I power washed my roof and then rolled out 3 thick coats of new heavy duty sealer I purchased at Home Depot. Everything sealed up right and it was much cooler inside the RV afterwards.

You may want to check out RV Roof FlexArmor. Work is done inside their building in a controlled environment. It's sprayed on but the prep they do is 2nd to none along with the finished product!!! Had mine done 2 years ago. Be sure it's RVRoof.com. Check this out before going anywhere else, "you will not regret it!"

We were in Wyoming heading back to Colorado when a 4 foot square section of our roof membrane came off. I contacted RV Armor and they quoted $6,460 for our 34 foot Montana. The tech came to our home, removed everything from the roof - A/C, vents, membrane, old Ditech - and installed the new roof in three days. Guaranteed for the life of the RV and looked great!

We have the same unit. Ours is a 2011. I suspect the cracking you see is normal and nothing to worry about. No maintenance of the roof is necessary. Certainly not coatings of any kind. EPDM roofs are on commercial buildings and last many decades without any attention. As far as flex armor goes, if our roof has to be replaced in the future, that would be the direction I would go in.

I used to do commercial and residential roofing and the thick rubber roof coating is a big bonus but over time if you have cracks eventually the sun will dry and eat a crack causing a leak. By thoroughly cleaning the surface and laying down 2 or 3 coats of good quality rubber roofing sealant will not hurt a thing and add life to the roof. I have laid down rubber roofing on many buildings but we also used hot tar that melted the rubber to the roof.

well I bit the bullet and have RV Armor under contract to recoat the roof they are running a special price till Dec 20th as pricing will go up in 2020 I may be jumping the gun and our roof might be good for few more years but I Would feel better knowing that any possible leak will not occur and if in the future if I sell the unit the lifetime guarantee goes with the trailer and any new owner will be covered I will

update how this goes and post photos when finished this spring

Thanks and Merry Christmas to everyone
