A/C Problem- Compressor?

I have a 2012 Montana 3455SA 5th wheel. We rarely use our Bedroom A/C Probably less than 10 hrs since new. The compressor comes on but NO COOLING. Run it on Auto/ Zone 2. The Living room A/C runs great. Any solutions?

Are you sure it's the compressor you're hearing or just the fan?

I hear the fan running and about 20 seconds later the compressor runs. The compressor stays running.

Hopefully someone else has some ideas, but at this point I'd have it checked by a professional. You can't add coolant to these units so if it has a leak, it's toast.

But would the compressor still run if there wasn't any coolant?

It very well could be low on its refrigerant and if there isn't enough to compress...no cooling. There isn't anything one can do unless you are an hvac tech. Since there are no ports in the lines, no diagnosis can be done regarding compressor health or amount of refrigerant. If you are sure the compressor is running, then it is time to recycle what you have.

In 2013, while we were still under warranty, our front 13.5 A/C stopped cooling, but the fan still ran, and could not tell if the compressor was running. Took it into the CW west of Boise, ID for another issue, which they also fixed, and they discovered compressor oil all over under to cover. Fortunately, they had a brand new A/C on the shelf that was intended for another trailer that was traded before the A/C came in. We were out of there with a new A/C installed in less than two hours. These are throwaway units, that unless it is a fan motor or some minor other part, they are usually not repairable.

I am having cooling issues with 2016 353RL High Country purchased and checked by dealer in April. I checked the A/Cs on the roof. Compressors working; not sweating. The lines will need to be Tapped/insert a port to check Freon level and add it. I have my house a/c tech coming to check them out today. He has done RVs before.
