375FL Rear Closet Adventure

SO... Our Montana has a full width rear closet, with a shelf and a closetpole..
Hangers bounce off... so, we found (Walmart) hangers that "snap" onto the pole... problem one solved...
Then the closet pole brackets pulled out of the bottom of the shelf, because they were installed with very, very short screws...bent the closet pole!!
Drilled thru the shelf, thru bolted with machine screws, fender washers and hex nuts....problem two solved
Next on the hit parade... the "brace" under the front of the shelf separated from said shelf, because it is attached with STAPLES!!! no screws....
Put screws thru the top of the shelf into the brace every 8" across the width of the closet shelf.....Next up is a center vertical support rod to prevent the shelf from flexing......
Hopefully, the closet adventure is drawing to a close..........

You'll find another post about this sort of thing is also active now. Any of us, particularly those who full time have had to replace the rods and rebuild the supports. In our case, since we had already, done it on our old rig, we had the dealer do it all before we would accept our new rig.

first thing I did when we brought our 2016 home was install center support from the floor to the pole then from the pole to the above shelf. it all looked flimsy from the factory. 8,000 miles and a loaded closet, have had no issues yet. good luck
