2005 Montanas

Our dealer was having his anniversary sale this weekend so we took a ride to look at the new units and buy some stuff in the store,10%off,we must say that keystone addressed quite a few things. this dealer had 14 fivers in stock, all the new 2005s have dexter axles, the new countertops, sinks and faucets look awesome. The recliners looked more fluffy and comfortable, liked the new cabinet hardware, the shower design looks like tile, although it may be a little harder to clean, all these units had ovens and convection ovens. Our unit ,a2955rl;we really liked the way they changed the cabinets in the bedroom area, the slide seals looked upgraded but could not tell for sure, the dvd/cd player looks upgraded, and the new fuse center looks alot more user friendly. We really liked the 3655fl model with the fireplace, but not right at this minute.Way to go keystone on improving your unit.

We have the 2005 2955RL and love it. We bought ours off the lot and it even came with the central vacuum which came in handy this weekend when we took our grandkids to the beach!

Always wondered why the inlaws bought so many rvs over the years. Now we know.

We were looking in July at 2005/ now have
a 2005-2955rl with almost 8500 miles on it.
Did have a problem with the right side,
front jack (would not deploy) in Sheridan,
Wy and local wizard (Bob Beckwith) fixed
it. None of the RV (Good Sam ERS, or local
Fresno dealer) were of any help!
We love it, but still are working "bugs",
warranty issues with dealer in Fresno, Ca.

It sounds like Montana has added a lot to the '05 rigs. We just ordered our 2980RL last week at the Pomona CA RV show. The factory rep told us that the reason for the micro/convection oven is that they ran out of the regular micro ovens and were able to buy 5,000 of the micro/convections at about the same price. One of the features that really sold us was the countertops. The "corian"-like top with the molded in sinks both looks good and is really functional. Just like our granite countertop at home, you can wipe "schmutz" right into the sink, without having to go over the raised rim of a drop-in. They also seem to be routinely putting in the vacuum cleaner now. In looking at other brands with vacuums, the Montana is the only one to use the Dometic vacuum which can be emptied from inside the rig, without having to go into the storage area below. Can't wait to get delivery (mid-Dec?).

I like the countertops for the reason you gave and the sinks are deep, but keeping it clean remains to be a problem. It always looks blotchy. I like the convection/microwave/half-time oven but Roy was told by the local Keystone dealer that they have had lots of problems with them. So far so good for us. We also love the vacuum.

We love our 2005 3685FL. No problems yet, just put it up for the winter. Lots of upgrades over the 2004 model we lookd at and try to buy but was sold oput from under us over a week end when we looked. Dealer sold us 2005 for same as what they were askin g fro the 2004 hey had had for a year. Felt sorry for us since we told him we wanted it and he sold it, but glad he did, this unit is a lot better looking and more upgrades. The new aluminum wheels look great also, can you tell we like it yet? Stll have truck envy over Steve Reigels new truck.

Broome101, just looked at your picture (just got my new one's picture into the profile). Looks just about identical to yours, except maybe the grille, wheels, and step.

Steve like Billy Ray said camper looking can get expensive, about as bad as looking at new trucks. I got the itch bad.
