FCRV national rally 2014

I know there are some Family Campers and Rv'ers members in the MOC. The FCRV 2014 National rally is in Vermont .The details can be found on the FCRV website fcrv.org. The starting date is July 4th, we have not been to the N.E states and this gives us the opportunity to go there. we could even incorporate a MOC regional rally...

This is in my little corner of the country. It would be a good opportunity to meet some on this forum that have been so helpful in my hours of need.

Rich, having been born in Barre Vermont those attending the FCRV rally next July have many opportunities to visit Vermont. I-89 that will bring many RV'ers to Essex Junction VT allows great and short trips to the capital of Montpelier, the granite quarries in Barre and of course the many venues that the FCRV website lists. Of course Ben and Jerry's is a must stop at Waterbury, and know Burlington Vt, home of University of VT is a great city to visit.

Vermont isn't a problem, but for those of you who carry firearms (even if they are just stored in your 5th wheel), make sure you know the rules of transport in New York and New Jersey. They are two of the most restrictive firearms states in the US. In general, if the arms are unloaded (including emptying the magazines), and secured, you may travel through - as long as you do not stop to camp, eat or refuel. Stopping puts you in jeopardy of violating the law.
